KIRI Engine Launches the Timer Mode to Automate 3D Scanning

In the latest version, KIRI Engine has introduced a timer photo capture mode that automates the 3D scanning process. This greatly simplifies the operation of the photo-shooting routine. Users only need to make a simple setup, and the entire scanning process can run automatically.

Timer mode can be used in two ways:

1. Using a turntable: Place the object on a turntable provided by a third party. Mount the phone on a tripod and adjust the frame to cover the entire object. In the KIRI Engine software, set a proper time interval for automatically taking photos. While the turntable rotates continuously, the timer will take photos from different angles automatically at the preset time interval.

2. Hand-held phone rotating capture: Users hold the phone and walk around a stationary object along a predefined path. In the software, set a time interval for auto photo capture, such as every 3 seconds. As the user moves around, the phone will automatically take photos at a consistent speed.

The timer mode enables continuous multi-angle shooting of the object without manually touching the shutter button. This greatly simplifies the scanning process with a set camera position and turntable.

Timer mode is currently only available to Pro users of KIRI Engine. More features will be added in the future to enhance and assist the automation of the scanning process. We are aiming to make a 3D scanning application that all 3D users can use with ease.
